AMBON

6-month-old brown tabby boy

Ambon is a handsome brown tabby boy with piercing green eyes.  He and his siblings were rescued from a feral colony in Greenfield when the caretaker was gathering cats for our TNR program.  Ambon and his sister Valentini are in foster care together and becoming more friendly and confident around people.  Ambon is the more active kitten and constantly plays with the wand toy and climbs his cat scratcher. Ambon is looking for a patient adopter willing to give him time to trust his new family.  He is a medium energy kitten who would be happy to be adopted with his sister. 918

VALENTINI

6-month-old tuxedo girl

Valentini is a lovely black and white kitten with gorgeous green eyes who is six months old now.  She was rescued from a feral colony in Greedfield with her siblings and is currently living in a foster home with her brother Ambon. Valentini is the more mellow and shy of the two kittens, but she will make eye contact and hold your gaze for long periods of time, which means she is interested in more interaction.  Like her brother Ambon, Valentini is gradually becoming more friendly, but is looking for a family with the patience to cultivate her trust and help her gain more confidence.  Valentini would do best in a low to medium activity level home and would love to be adopted with her brother. 918

KEVIN

6-month-old orange tabby boy

RECENTLY ADOPTED

Kevin is a six-month-old handsome orange tabby from his light pink nose down to his solid orange toes! He's living with several other foster kittens and spends his time playing with the other kittens and watching the activity in the trees outside the windows. Kevin loves playing with his cat toys, especially with the wand toy and mouse. He enjoys meeting new people and getting lots of cuddles and pets. Kevin’s friendly and easygoing personality makes him a great addition as a single cat or into a home with other animals as well. He would prefer a home with other companions to play and nap with and is excellent with very young children including infants. 322

STELLA

13-week-old brown tabby girl

Stella is part of a litter of five kittens surrendered to ONPP when the caretaker for her feral colony wanted a better life for them. Stella and her siblings have been in foster care in Marina where they are living with other foster kittens. Stella was initially a bit shy when she arrived, but has been growing more accustomed to her new home.  She loves playing and wrestling with her siblings, and is particularly fascinated with the cat meowntain toy. Stella would appreciate being adopted with one of her siblings into a medium activity level home with plenty of playtime for them! 1111

TOBY

4-month-old orange tabby boy

RECENTLY ADOPTED WITH HIS BROTHER TIM

Brothers Toby and Tim were rescued in Gonzales when they were found alone in worker housing when they were only a few months old.  They were treated for a respiratory infection and are fully recovered now.  Toby is the more confident of the two, and usually leads the way.  Toby likes being around people and happily follows his foster parents around.  He is quite playful, and when it's time for a break, he loves making biscuits. Toby was featured on KION as the Pet of the Week on February 6th. Toby would love to be adopted with his brother, Tim, who is a little more shy, into a low to medium activity level home. 923

TIM

4-month-old orange tabby boy

RECENTLY ADOPTED WITH HIS BROTHER TOBY

Tim and his brother Toby were rescued in Gonzales when they were found alone in worker housing when only a few months old.  They were treated for a respiratory infection and are fully recovered now.  Tim and his brother are constantly chasing each other around and wrestling with their toys. Tim is more shy than his brother, and usually looks to him for guidance, so his furrever family should be patient enough to help him gain more confidence. While Tim can be adopted by himself, he would love to be adopted with his brother into a medium activity level home. 923

SMOKEY

7-month-old torbie girl

Beautiful Smokey has the unusual mix of a tortoiseshell with black and orange combined with the brown tabby stripes, making her a torbie.  She is shyer than her brother Spice, preferring to let him take the lead. She loves playing with her brother and is quite active.  We expect that with continued handling and interactions with her foster family, she will soon become even more comfortable and confident around humans. Smokey would love a furrever family willing to continue working with her to gain her confidence around people. 625

SPICE

7-month-old long hair tabby boy

Spice is a long hair white, tabby, and Maine Coone mix boy who is in foster care with his sister Smokey.  He has befriended his foster dad after only a short time and can be quite playful. Spice and his sister love chasing each other through their foster home, where he gets along well with the resident cats and does not seem to be bothered by dogs. Spice has been gaining confidence with people and is looking for a home where he can have plenty of attention to reinforce his relationship with people. 625

JANIE

8-month-old white & black girl

RECENTLY ADOPTED

Janie came to us from a feral cat colony. She was too little to spay and return to her colony like adults that go through our TNR program. One of our fosters said yes to Janie so she became one of our rescue's foster kitties. Janie quickly showed her sweet side, but is still needs a little time to adjust to new people. She is being fostered with other kitties and her foster parents also have dogs in their home. 210

JACK

9-week-old orange tabby boy

RECENTLY ADOPTED

Jack is part of a litter of six kittens surrendered by a Greenfield family who were unable to care for them.  Jack and two of his sisters are in foster care in Salinas and are known as the Three's Company Litter.  They are truly enjoying the good life now! If Jack isn't running around chasing his toys, he's lounging on his heated blanket, enjoying the warmth on cold days.  He's still perfecting his kitten skills, and would do well in a home with older children and other four-legged friends. 201

JANET

12-week-old orange tabby girl

RECENTLY ADOPTED

Sweet Janet is one of six kittens that entered ONPP's foster care program after a Greenfield family was unable to care for them. Janet and one brother and one sister are together in a foster home in Salinas.  Janet is the mellowest one, content to sit on her warm blanket and watch her siblings play.  But when she's in the mood, she's all about running through her toy tunnel and dashing around the room. Because of her young age, Janet is still working on her kitten skills, so she would be happy with a medium energy home with children over five years and even other feline friends.

CHRISSY

12-week-old orange tabby girl

Chrissy is part of the Three's Company Litter, three siblings turned over to ONPP when their family in Greenfield was no longer able to care for them. Chrissy and her siblings are in a wonderful foster home where they rule their kitten room.  Chrissy is the most curious of the litter, and eager to meet new people.  She loves checking out new objects and playing with her siblings. Chrissy may be the smallest, but she is a high energy kitten, so she's looking for an active home where she'll get plenty of love and attention, preferably with friends to keep her company.  1122

ARO

13-week-old long-hair orange and white boy

RECENTLY ADOPTED WITH TOCA

Aro is part of the Pufferfish Litter, rescued from a feral colony in Greenfield when their caretaker wanted a better home for them.  The litter of five is in foster care in Marina. Aro is a handsome long-haired orange and white kitten who has already made his debut on KION's Pet of the Week segment.  This handsome boy purrs almost nonstop, and the purring just gets louder once he is picked up and cuddled.  Aro gets along well with both his litter mates and other foster kittens and they are constantly playing with each other.  Aro is a medium energy kitten and would do well with a family of similar energy levels, especially if they have additional two- or four-legged companions. 1111

DRAGON

13-week-old Russian Blue boy

RECENTLY ADOPTED WITH MELEA

Dragon was rescued when a young Greenfield resident heard him crying in an alleyway behind her home.  She quickly realized the kitten was very ill and gave him to ONPP so he could receive immediate medical attention. After 3 weeks of intensive care and love, Dragon has fully recovered and is nearly ready for his furrever family.  He only has partial vision in his left eye but requires no special care. He's constantly initiating play with the other foster kittens and loves meeting new people. Dragon is hoping for a high energy home with other four-legged companions to play with. 1111

MELEA

13-week-old long-hair tortoiseshell girl

RECENTLY ADOPTED WITH DRAGON

Melea arrived at ONPP because the caretake of her colony realized her friendliness and long hair made her a better fit for an indoor home than her current conditions.  She's one of five kittens in the Pufferfish Litter, all of which are now in foster care in Marina.  Melea is a beautiful tortie girl with the most vibrant markings between her ears.  This long-haired beauty enjoys getting attention from people and will purr loudly in response.  She and the other foster kittens are frequently chasing and wrestling with each other.  Melea is a low to medium energy kitten who would thrive in a home with children and/or four-legged friends. Getting adopted with a littermate would be the bonus! 1111

SIMBA

4-month-old long hair white and orange boy

RECENTLY ADOPTED

Simba was found after he was abandoned in a feral colony in Soledad.  His extreme friendliness made it clear he was not a feral kitten, and Simba was quickly rescued and placed into foster care.  Simba is a talkative and happy boy who loves nothing more than to chat with his foster parents and follow them around.  He will frequently flop over for belly rubs and then purr with contentment. Because he is highly socialized, Simba needs a home with companions, two- or four-legged, most of the day.  He also would benefit from regular exercise play. 206

MANNI

13-week-old long-hair orange tabby boy

RECENTLY ADOPTED

One of five kittens rescued from a feral colony, Manni is a more reserved kitten, preferring to have his twin brother, Aro, take the lead.  His long and colored fur makes him quite the fluffy kitten and his coat will definitely need regular brushing.  Manni and his siblings all play well together and particularly enjoys the wand toy. They like to nap in groups as well. Manni hasn't been tested with dogs or children yet, but he would likely do well in a low to medium energy home. 1111

TOCA

13-week-old medium hair brown tabby girl

RECENTLY ADOPTED WITH ARO

Toca is one of five kittens rescued from a feral colony in Greenfield.  Toca's long haired tabby patterned coat is uncommon, and she has attracted more than her share of attention wherever she goes. While Toca is a bit timid around people, that hasn't hampered her inquisitive side when she has the opportunity to explore new environments.  Toca and her siblings all play well together and like to nap in groups as well. She would like a medium to high energy furrever home. 1111

MAUDE

1-year-old solid black girl

RECENTLY ADOPTED with REN

Maude and her brother were rescued from a feral colony in Soledad when they were four months old.  Maude was recently returned to ONPP when her adopters were unable to keep her.  Maude is a shy, non-confrontational girl who gets along with other cats and is becoming friendlier with people. She would do best in a quiet and lower energy home environment where she can safely continue to increase her trust in humans while settling in with her new family. 212

HOMELANDER

7-month-old orange tabby boy

RECENTLY ADOPTED

Sweet Homelander is an orange tabby boy who was rescued with his siblings from the Royal Oaks area. This extremely friendly and curious boy loves human company and will happily chase after a wand toy or simply nap on your lap! Homelander can be talkative and will likely grow up to be a large cat, typical of orange tabbies. Homelander was recently returned when his adopter  could no longer care for him. He gets along very well with other cats and children and will thrive in an active household with other four-legged companions. 201

REN

7-month-old solid black boy

RECENTLY ADOPTED with MAUDE

Little Ren was found in a Greenfield colony in desperate need of medical attention to save his life.  Now recovering in foster care, Ren remained spirited and energetic throughout his recovery process.  He likes to show off his King of the Pumpkin Patch outfit while chasing his toy mouse and pumpkin ball around the room! Ren also regularly chirps for attention and crawls into his foster mom's lap for cuddle time after each meal.  He's very curious about other animals and quickly makes friends with new foster kittens. Ren would be happy in a high activity home with other four-legged companions and lives with plenty of foster buddies if you're considering adopting a pair! 212

EPHIE

18-week-old tortoiseshell girl

RECENTLY ADOPTED

Ephie and her brothers were surrendered from San Ardo in extremely poor health and immediately given emergency medical care. Ephie is the only surviving girl and is now healthy and quite playful.  Ephie tends to follow her brother Batavia's lead and is a little ball of energy who loves wrestling, chasing her brothers, and tossing their toy mouse around.  She enjoys cuddle time with her foster parents and would do well in a medium to high energy home, preferably with other animals, so if you're looking for a pair of kittens, please consider adopting her brother, Orbie, as well! 201

OREO

1-year-old black & white boy

RECENTLY ADOPTED

Oreo was found abandoned in a south Salinas neighborhood. This tuxedo boy has already been checked out by the veterinarian and is very healthy.  Oreo is a very friendly and talkative boy, eager to make friends with felines and people alike. This sweet boy is already following his foster parents around the house, hoping for extra pets and attention. While Oreo was found outdoors, he was likely previously living indoors, as he has expressed no interest in going back  outside. He's currently in a home with other cats and dogs. Oreo would prefer a home with other four-legged friends. 122

PEETA

7-month-old white and tabby boy

RECENTLY ADOPTED

The Hunger Games Litter was surrendered when their caretaker in King City was unable to continue providing for them. Brown tabby Peeta is a bit more reserved, but still quite curious and very patient. He loves to get cuddles and will reward you with loud purrs. Peeta and Primrose are buddies and spend most of their time playing with each other or napping together.  They have a cat tree they lounge on and safely watch the world outside. Peeta and Primrose would love to be adopted together! 121

Jax was adopted along with another kitty. Unfortunately, his human has had to downsize and relocate. She would love to see Jax fine a wonderful, new indoor-only home. Jax is a black-and-white two year-old long-haired cat. He is very smart and he likes to play. He will fetch all day long if you let him. He’s very affectionate and likes to cuddle.
