HOMELANDER

7-month-old orange tabby boy

Sweet Homelander is an orange tabby boy who was rescued with his siblings from the Royal Oaks area. This extremely friendly and curious boy loves human company and will happily chase after a wand toy or simply nap on your lap! Homelander can be talkative and will likely grow up to be a large cat, typical of orange tabbies. Homelander was recently returned when his adopter  could no longer care for him. He gets along very well with other cats and children and will thrive in an active household with other four-legged companions. 519

SPICE

6-month-old long hair tabby boy

Spice is a long hair white and tabby boy who is in foster care with his sister Smokey.  He is a reserved kitten who has befriended his foster dad after only a short time.  Spice can be quite playful, and he and his sister love chasing each other through their foster home. He gets along well with other cats and does not seem to be bothered by dogs. Spice has been gaining confidence with people and is looking for a home where he can have plenty of attention to reinforce his relationship with people. 625

SMOKEY

6-month-old torbie girl

Beautiful Smokey has the unusual mix of a tortoiseshell with black and orange combined with the brown tabby stripes, making her a torbie.  She is shyer than her brother Spice, preferring to let him take the lead. She loves playing with her brother and is quite active.  We expect that with continued handling and interactions with her foster family, she will soon become even more comfortable and confident around humans. Smokey would love a furrever family willing to continue working with her to gain her confidence around people. 625

MAUDE

1-year-old solid black girl

Maude and her brother were rescued from a feral colony in Soledad when they were four months old.  Maude was recently returned to ONPP when her adopters were unable to keep her.  Maude is a shy, non-confrontational girl who gets along with other cats and is becoming friendlier with people. She would do best in a quiet and lower energy home environment where she can safely continue to increase her trust in humans while settling in with her new family.

JANIE

7-month-old white & black girl

Janie came to us from a feral cat colony. She was too little to spay and return to her colony like adults that go through our TNR program. One of our fosters said yes to Janie so she became one of our rescue's foster kitties. Janie quickly showed her sweet side, but is still needs a little time to adjust to new people. She is being fostered with other kitties and her foster parents also have dogs in their home.513

EPHIE

17-week-old tortoiseshell girl

Ephie and her brothers were surrendered from San Ardo in extremely poor health and immediately given emergency medical care. Ephie is the only surviving girl and is now healthy and quite playful.  Ephie tends to follow her brother Batavia's lead and is a little ball of energy who loves wrestling, chasing her brothers, and tossing their toy mouse around.  She enjoys cuddle time with her foster parents and would do well in a medium to high energy home, preferably with other animals, so if you're looking for a pair of kittens, please consider adopting her brother, Orbie, as well!

ORBIE

17-week-old white and orange patched boy

Orbie and his siblings are the survivors of a litter from San Ardo surrendered in very sickly condition and immediately taken in for emergency medical care.  Now healthy, they are ready for furrever homes.  Orbie is the mellowest of the kittens and will often sit contentedly on his foster parent's lap and watch his sbilings wrestle.  But he does get in his fair share of kitten play, and especially loves tossing his toy mouse around the room and chasing it. This affectionate kitten would appreciate a quiet or medium energy home where he can relax on his human's lap and nap the afternoon away.

REN

6-month-old solid black boy

Little Ren was found in a Greenfield colony in desperate need of medical attention to save his life.  Now recovering in foster care, Ren remained spirited and energetic throughout his recovery process.  He likes to show off his King of the Pumpkin Patch outfit while chasing his toy mouse and pumpkin ball around the room! Ren also regularly chirps for attention and crawls into his foster mom's lap for cuddle time after each meal.  He's very curious about other animals and quickly makes friends with new foster kittens. Ren would be happy in a high activity home with other four-legged companions and lives with plenty of foster buddies if you're considering adopting a pair! 630

KATNISS

7-month-old medium hair white and black girl

RECENTLY ADOPTED

Medium haired Katniss is the leader of the Hunger Games Litter who were surrendered from a King City resident when she was no longer able to care for them.  Katniss has a beautiful black pattern over pure white fur that changes in the sunlight. She is quite confident with strangers and new surroundings and her siblings tend to follow her lead. Katniss is a medium energy kitten who loves to play with her siblings and toys. She would thrive in a low to medium energy home where she could be the star of the show. 117

PEETA

7-month-old white and tabby boy

The Hunger Games Litter was surrendered when their caretaker in King City was unable to continue providing for them. Brown tabby Peeta is a bit more reserved, but still quite curious and very patient. He loves to get cuddles and will reward you with loud purrs. Peeta and Primrose are buddies and spend most of their time playing with each other or napping together.  They have a cat tree they lounge on and safely watch the world outside. Peeta and Primrose would love to be adopted together! 610

OREO

1-year-old black & white boy

Oreo was found abandoned in a south Salinas neighborhood. This tuxedo boy has already been checked out by the veterinarian and is very healthy.  Oreo is a very friendly and talkative boy, eager to make friends with felines and people alike. This sweet boy is already following his foster parents around the house, hoping for extra pets and attention. While Oreo was found outdoors, he was likely previously living indoors, as he has expressed no interest in going back  outside. He's currently in a home with other cats and dogs. Oreo would prefer a home with other four-legged friends.

ROSIE

18-week-old black and gray girl

Rosie and her brother Reggie were rescued from a feral colony in Soledad.  They were still so young that their foster mom was bottle feeding them for another month before they began eating solid food.  Rosie is a talkative and rambunctious kitten with silver speckles in her black fur. From the first day she arrived, she's been talking up a storm. Rosie loves playing with all the different kitten toys her foster mom provides and will happily snuggle up for a kitten nap afterwards.  Rosie is still quite little, so we recommend an active home and any children should be at least 5 years old.  If you're looking to adopt a pair, her brother Reggie is also available! 830

REGGIE

18-week-old black and white boy

Reggie and his sister Rosie came to ONPP when they were found in a feral colony in Soledad when they were only a few weeks old. Their foster mom bottle fed them until they were old enough to start eating solid food. Reggie's a black and white kitten with a white lightning bolt running across his face, so he's hard to miss!  He is very active, playing with his sister all the time and chasing various toys around the room. He and his sister will usually cuddle with their foster mom after play time. Reggie is a bit small for his age is he'll likely be no larger than an average cat when he's grown up. He is looking for an active home with any children over 5 years old because of his young age. And if you've been thinking about taking two kittens home, his sister Rosie is also up for adoption! 830

ARTHUR

5-month-old solid black boy

RECENTLY ADOPTED

Arthur and his five siblings were surrendered by a Greenfield family who weren't looking for additional pets when their cat became pregnant.  With ONPP's assistance, she's now spayed.  Because the litter was so large, they were divided up between two foster homes. Arthur and his brother Benedict remain very close, and Arthur is slightly more reserved.  The brothers are constantly playing with each other and climbing any obstacles they encounter.  Each kitten would do well in an active home with children over 5 years old. 111

BENEDICT

18-week-old brown tabby boy

RECENTLY ADOPTED

Benedict and his five siblings were surrendered in Greenfield after they were old enough to be weaned from their mom, who got pregnant unexpectedly. She was spayed with help from ONPP.  Benedict and Arthur went to one foster family in Seaside and the remaining four to another in Marina. Benedict and his brother are very close, and both are healthy and active.  Benedict is more outgoing and will explore new spaces fairly quickly.  Like typical young kittens, these brothers are constantly playing and wrestling with each other. All the kittens from this litter will do best in a medium to very active home. 101

FORNA

5-month-old brown tabby boy

Forna and his five siblings came to ONPP after a family in Greenfield surrendered them. He's a brown tabby who looks almost identical to his sister Phana. Forna is second-largest kitten and the boldest of the litter, quickly moving to explore new environments. Forna is the most affectionate of the litter, frequently interrupting play with his siblings to find his foster parents for more pets and cuddles.  While he really seems to enjoy play-stalking and chasing his siblings, Forna never hesitates to seek attention when his foster parents are around. Forna's high energy means his furrever family should be pretty active and have other four-legged companions who will play with him. If you currently have no other animals, adopting him with a sibling would be a great idea! 0810

PHANA

5-month-old brown tabby girl

Phana is one of two girls in a litter of six surrendered in Greenfield.  Phana is a pretty and friendly brown tabby girl who loves exploring new spaces. She is one of the larger kittens of her litter, which may explain her high confidence levels. Phana spends most of her playtime chasing her siblings or pushing her bell and ball toy around the room.  She has the high energy level typical of young kittens, but still regularly seeks out her foster parents for a little lap time and cuddles. Phana lives with multiple foster kittens and cats of various ages, and would love to be adopted out with another kitten, especially her brother Forna.  She would enjoy being with an active family and gets along well with children. 0810

LACTORIA "TORI"

5-month-old black girl

Tori came with her five siblings from a family in Greenfield. Tori is one of two girls and the most petite of the litter. After receiving vital medical care, she's completely healthy and very active with her siblings. Tori is almost solid black, with just three cute little pure white toes breaking up the black pattern. Despite her small size, Tori holds up solidly against all her siblings when they play-wrestle, and is an extremely fast runner when dashing around with them.  This energetic girl will periodically pause play to come scent mark her foster parents to get pets and body rubs, leaning in for more once the petting begins. Tori lives with multiple foster kittens and cats of various ages. Tori would thrive with an active family ready to give her lots of attention. 0810

QUINCIE

5-month-old long haired brown tabby girl

RECENTLY ADOPTED

Quincie and her brother Quinton are a brother and sister pair surrendered in Greenfield when they were about 7 weeks old.  Under the watchful eye of their foster mom in Salinas, the pair have grown into affectionate and curious kittens. Quincie is more reserved than her brother but is quite loving once she knows you.  She loves playinig with her brother and their cat toys. Because her foster home has both resident cats and dogs, Quincie is comfortable with other four-legged animals. She would be happy in a quiet to somewhat active home with  parents who have time to give her lots of love and positive reinforcement. 116

BATAVIA

15-week-old orange tabby boy

RECENTLY ADOPTED

Batavia is one of the survivors of a litter from San Ardo surrendered when they were very sick and immediately taken in for emergency medical care.  Now a healthy and very active boy, Batavia is the largest of the surviving kittens.  He's also the absolute leader of the pack, always first to greet people and explore new environments.  Batavia spends his time wrestling with his siblings and chasing the bell ball toy around the room.  He is looking for a high energy home, preferably with other companions to play with, and would love to be adopted with his sister Ephie. 1216

RICHARD

19-week-old orange tabby boy

ADOPTION PENDING

Richard and his brother Kevin were lucky that a compassionate family in Salinas  were compelled to save them after another sibling was hit by a car. The family is now fostering them, and helping the boys to become more socialized and friendly with people. Richard has been slower to respond to their efforts, but is coming around.  He is now comfortable enough that he will fall asleep with his brother on the sofa when he needs a break from kitten play. Richard would do best in a home where he will continue to receive lots of attention to reinforce his bond with people. He is already vaccinated, and will be neutered and microchipped prior to adoption.

KEVIN

19-week-old orange tabby boy

RECENTLY ADOPTED

Kevin and and his brother Richard were rescued when a compassionate family in Salinas who had been keeping an eye on a litter of kittens playing in the neighborhood found one sibling after it was hit by a car. They are now in foster care, and quickly becoming more socialized and friendly with people.  Kevin is the more social of the two, and quickly became a little purr monster when cuddled.  He is already comfortable playing with his new toys and adjusting to the safety of life indoors. We anticipate that Kevin will do well in a medium energy home with other companions.  He is already vaccinated, and will be neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. 111

Sini already lives with multiple kitties and does well with kids over 5 years old.  Sini is looking for an active home where he'll get lots of playtime.   1214

MOONLIGHT

1-year-old long haired Maine Coon mix girl

Once her kittens were weaned and adopted out, it was Moonlight's turn. This beautiful long haired Maine Coon mix queen has regrown her gorgeous silver neck ruff and full and thick black coat. Moonlight is a very friendly and chirpy girl who happily meets new people! She loves playing with the wand toy and chasing rolling toys. Moonlight was adopted but returned because the home environment was not a good fit for her. She is looking for an active home with other companions during the day if her humans are away. 1130

DORA

13-week-old solid black girl

 ADOPTED

Dora and her brother Mister were part of a litter of six kittens surrendered by a Gonzales resident. Dora is truly an explorer, always eager to meet new people and explore new places. Her outgoing personality made her an instant hit for KION’s Pet of the Week feature in mid-November. Dora is a very affectionate and curious girl who has been living with many other cats of all ages and loves to play with her cat meowtain toy.  She is constantly purring and has a strong desire to be around people.  Dora would thrive in a high activity home with other companions, so consider adopting her with her buddy Ren! 1123

PRIMROSE

17-week-old van tabby girl

ADOPTED

Primrose is the shyest kitten of the Hunger Games Litter, three kittens surrendered from a residence in King City.  Primrose is almost all white, with just splashes of tabby on her head and tail.  She must be convinced of your cat worthiness before warming up to you and cuddling. The entire litter pass their days happily playing with each other and their toys and enjoying the world around them from their cat tree in front of a patio door. Primrose and Peeta spend most of their time together and would be excited to find the same furrever home. 1123

QUINTON

14-week-old medium haired brown tabby boy

ADOPTED

Quinton and his sister Quincie were surrendered in Greenfield when they were about 7 weeks old. They were lovingly cared for in a foster home Salinas until old enough for adoption. Zeus came to us from a feral colony in Soledad. Zeus is a buff tabby boy who has come a long way and now meows for attention, and frequently rubs up against his foster dad's legs for cuddles.  He had some early exposure to dogs and loves meeting new cats and kittens. He became an instant Big Brother to the The Boys litter (Homelander and Hughie are still available). Zeus is looking for a home where he will have the constant companionship of others and would love to be adopted with one of The Boys kittens. 1109

Big Moon

11-week-old orange boy

ADOPTED WITH ZEUS

Big Moon is part of a litter we rescued from a "Free Kittens" Facebook post. We all know the dangers of having animals given away for free on social media. The kittens were about 5 weeks old, so way too young to be without their mom and separated. This litter has been raised in our foster home. They are sweet, healthy, and playful. Big Moon is ready to meet his forever family. 1109
